Minor Football:
Our minor footballers received a walk over this week.

Junior A Hurling:
Our Junior A hurlers played Claughaun in wet conditions on Sunday evening. Ballybricken started well and went 3 points up before a long range ball from Claughaun found the net to level things. Dan Owens after starting well with a nice point was forced off through injury after only 15 mins. Despite this, Bally dug in with points from Colm Teefy, Dan McGuire and Sean Teefy before a great score from out the field from David Ryan saw the teams head in all square at half time. The second half was a physical encounter and scores were hard fought. Cathal O’Neill and Dan McGuire edged Bally ahead before a long direct ball from Jack Owens fizzed into the top corner. Claughaun kept the scoreboard ticking with frees and with only a couple of minutes to go edged a point ahead. Bally rallied well though and Niall Martin’s shot for a point hit the crossbar but fortunately Colm Teefy was quickest to react and slotted over from close range to level the game. Final score 1-11 to 1-11.
There is no junior A hurling game this weekend. Starting team Dylan Daly Conway, Eoin Clifford, Colm O’Riordan, Cody O’Brien, Scott Ryan, Pa Byrne, Joseph Teefy, Dan McGuire, Jack Owens, David Ryan, Sean Teefy, Craig Power, Cathal O’Neill, Niall Martin, Dan Owens.

Junior B Hurling:
Therese junior Bs faced Pallasgreen on Tuesday evening last. As is the usual case when the two meet it was a hard fought affair. Pallasgreen took there early scores well and had a couple of points lead for most of the first half. Mark O’Dea and Eoin Lyons kept things tight at the back while Joseph Teefy managed to get onto plenty ball in midfield. James Hickey at centre forward showed he still had it coming back from a long term injury and put over some great scores from range. Pallasgreen went in at halftime 3 points ahead. Ballybricken came out well in the second half, Shane O’Neill was clinical on the frees while Tadgh Browne and Cillín O’Brien stormed into the game. With 5 to go had the gap down to 2 points before a long ball from Pallasgreen took a fortunate bounce leaving their full forward to convert for a goal. Final score Pallasgreen 2-15 B/B 0-14.
