City East Junior B Football League:
On Sunday 2nd last our Junior B Footballers started the year with a win against Na Piarsaigh. There was a lively start to the game with Joseph Teefy hitting the crossbar at one end and Alan O’Riordan making a goal line clearance at the other. A great run from Scott Ryan was converted into the back of the net by Jack Owens to put B/B 1-3 to 4 points up at half time. The boys continued the good form into the second half with Denis Stack putting retirement talks to bed with a couple of well taken points. Eoin Clifford, Alan O’Riordan and Cathal O’Neill also contributed points while Cody O’Brien, Jack Owens, Tadgh Browne and Niall Martin put in great performances to see out the victory. Our next match is on Sunday 9th March v Oola at 2pm in Caherelly.
