Brian Butler Cup : On Thursday evening last, we travelled the short distance to Kilteely to face Cappamore in the Semi-Final of the Brian Butler Cup.Picking up from where we left off in the Quarter final, Bally set the pace early on ,opening up a 0:07-0:01 lead within the opening 10min. Bally kept the score board ticking over, and in the 17th min , Bally were awarded a penalty after Dan Owens was bundled over within the small box, he dusted himself off and stepped forward to convert the placed ball with ease. There as was an exchange of points in last 10min of the half to leave the score 1:12-0:05 going in at the break.
Cappamore started the second half the better with a point after just 52seconds, but Bally replied immediately with a well taken goal from Enda Frawley. Soon after Enda was replaced by Jack Cross who had an immediate impact with a point within 60seconds after arriving on the scene. To extend our lead. Cappamore were enjoying a more fruitful half which saw them convert a number of chances , but their efforts fell short and Bally ran out 6pt winners on a score of 2:16-0:16
