City East Intermediate Hurling League: On Tuesday last, June 7th , we played Claughaun in the Semi-final of the Intermediate hurling league in Fedamore. It was all square when the teams met earlier in the campaign, It was a very impressive display from the lads which saw the lead for the majority of the game, with a stand out performance from Micheal Martin on the night .Bally ran out winners on a score of 1:15-0:12 and progressed to the final against Doon.
On Friday last ,10th June, we travelled to Cappamore to take on Doon GAA in the final in the Bon Secours City East Intermediate Hurling league. In a tightly contested first half , Bally put some impressive scores on the board from the sticks of Micheal Martin, David Ryan and Enda Frawley and went in at the half time break a goal down on a score of 1:08-0:08. We had an impressive start to the second half with a goal straight from the throw in from Eoghan O’Neill followed by another point, but Doon hit back with a couple of points in quick succession to give them a 4pt gap at the midway point in the 2nd half. In the closing stages Bally found the back of the net again to make for an exciting finish to the game , but in true Doon fashion, they went up the field and replied instantly with 1:01 to leave the result beyond doubt. Doon ran out 6pt winners on a score of 2:19-2:13.

Limerick GAA : Commiserations to Billy Lee and his Limerick footballers who came up short against Cork in Pairc Uí Chaoimh on Sunday last. This concluded a great season for the Limerick footballers which saw them promoted to Division 2 of The National Football League
