Split the Bucket:
Congratulations to Damien Ahern who was this week’s Split the Pot winner, going home with €297. The next draw will take place on July 3rd. Envelopes can be purchased at Brown Joes, Dick Whites, Collins Shop, O’ Riordan’s Pharmacy, Batts , Athea Credit Union, Bingo at Con Colbert Hall on Friday nights, and during events at Pairc na nGael. Thanks to everyone for your continued support.

Club Limerick Draw:
Congratulations to Jeremiah O’ Connor who won second prize in the June Club Limerick Draw, winning the handsome sum of €3,000. Enjoy it!

Club Development Draw:
Tickets are now on Sale for the Athea GAA Club Development Draw. This year, the top prize each month will be an amazing €1,000! Total prize fund is €7,200. Funds raised from this draw will go towards Development Projects including improvements to the carpark and training pitches. Tickets are priced at €50 and can be purchased from any of our sellers, or online through Club Force. The link for Club Force is on our social media pages.

Athea Junior Football Team:
Athea will play Granagh/Ballingarry in the first round of the Championship on Friday evening at 7.30pm in Newcastle West. Tickets much be purchased in advance by following the link on our Facebook Page/ Athea Match News Whatsapp Group.

We played St Kierans in Athea Thursday evening in a fiercely competitive match that went to the wire, Athea had a last minute goal opportunity to win match but unfortunately luck did not go our way loosing out by two points. Every player gave 100% and played some very impressive hurling
and great team playing. Team Tom Mullane, Colton Brouder, Tadhg Hunt, Kane Brouder, Nathan Ambrose, Jamie Brosnan, Cathal Fitzgerald, Paddy O’Connor, Daniel Hunt, Mark Collins, Jayden Kiely, Aaron Hunt,Tony Ambrose, Shane Ahern, Jack Leahy.
Next match is away to Croom Thursday 6 th July @ 7 pm

U13 Girls Football:
Well done to the U13 team who played a strong Granagh/ Ballingarry in the developmental league Monday night.

U9 Hurling:
Played a blitz Friday evening in Drom Broadford 11 players lined out for Athea and a great display of hurling was given by all teams on the night.

U7 Hurling:
Athea hosted blitz Saturday morning 14 boys and girls took to the pitch. There was some great fun had by the three teams and they were all rewarded with ice creams which went down a treat.
