Athea native is elected Limerick County Board Chairman:
The club wishes to congratulate Athea native Seamus McNamara who was ratified as Limerick County Board Chairman at the Annual Convention in The Woodlands Adare last week.
Seamus played for Athea in the 1970s and 1980s lining out in the forward line. Seamus lived just off Dalton Street beside Lal Brownes. He moved to Abbeyfeale shortly afterwards and has spent many years in many roles in Fr. Caseys. He has been an officer of the West Board and in more recent times has been a County Board official. He spent the last five years as Vice Chairman.
We wish Seamus every success in his new role and look forward to welcoming him back to his Native club early in the New Year.
Christmas Wishes :
The club wishes a very Happy Christmas to all our members and all who have supported us throughout the year. We are delighted that so many of the parish visit and use our facilities throughout the year. Be it as players, coaches, parents, supporters, track users or those just up for a chat you are all welcome. We continue to improve the facilities with your help and look forward to your continued support. Nollaig Shona dhuit.
