My Mind Matters
Healthy Athea is promoting participation in the My Mind Matters Initiative which runs from October 10th to October 30th 2021.
Participants are invited to download the MyLife App on their phones and to set aside 30 mins five days a week for an activity (walking, running, cycling, yoga etc.) that boosts their mental health, and record this activity on the App. If participants collectively record 30,000 days of activity on the MyLife App, then Irish Life will donate €10,000 to Samaritans Ireland.
Participants will also have the chance of winning great prizes for our club, with any participant reaching their weekly target entered into a draw for weekly prizes. One lucky participant will also win an expert coaching & wellbeing event with Oisin Mc Convilee for our club.
U15 Boys
Div 3 County Shield Semifinal
Athea 1-13 Ballybrown 2-5
This match was played in a very muddy Ballybrown pitch in Clarina on Saturday morning last. We started very strongly but didn’t take many of the chances we created, but we still led at the first quarter 4pts to 1pt. In the second quarter they scored 2 break away goals, while we added 4 more points to leave the half time score 0-8 to 2-1. The second half was evenly balanced with us having a 2 pt advantage with a few minutes remaining, when we struck for the goal that was threatened all during the game. This put us 5 pts clear and safely through to the final against Ballylanders.
