ATHEA GAA CLUB NOTES
Presentation of Jerseys
Many thanks to sponsors Eamon McElligott (Macoil) and Diarmuid Collins (Stelcon Construction Ltd) for sponsoring a new set of jerseys for our Adult Men’s Team. Both individuals are huge supporters of Athea GAA and your gesture of support is greatly appreciated by Athea GAA.
Well Done
Congratulations to Amy Ryan Lower Road who won the ‘Footballer of the Year’ award at the recent student awards ceremony at Tarbert Comprehensive School. Amy plays with the ladies team together with her sister, Grace.

Unfortunately no spectators are allowed to attend due to current covid restrictions. Athea are in group 1 along with Fr Caseys, Cappagh, Glin and NCW. Underage football & hurling competitive fixtures are due to take place at the end of June/ beginning of July.
Club Limerick Draw
Congratulations to Kathleen Gallagher who won €100 in the May Club Limerick Development Draw. Here’s hoping another Athea ticket is pulled out in June!
Be a Hero, Run with us to Z€RO!
Many thanks to everyone who has supported our GoFundMe page over the last week, with our total now standing at €9,497, just €3 shy of €9,500! We are still hopeful of reaching the magic sum of €10,000 which would be a fantastic achievement and would leave us in a very healthy position to press ahead with the laying of tarmacadam around our track. The link for the gofundme page can be found on our facebook page with donations also being accepted by any member of Athea GAA.
