Athea to Croke Park Sponsored Walk
In an effort to reduce our outstanding loan balance and to continue our developments at Páirc na nGael, a series of fundraising initiatives are due to take place over the coming months.
To kick start these efforts, a 260km Athea to Croker Sponsored walk is being organised to take place over the weekend May 14th – May 16th. Everyone is invited to join us in completing a sponsored 5km walk/run around our ‘Walk & Talk Track’ (7 Laps) at an allocated time over this weekend. Donations will be gratefully accepted online through gofundme –
https://www.gofundme.com/f/be-a-hero-get-us-to-zero…
Funds raised will go towards the laying of a permanent surface on our community walking track.
To register and be allocated a time over this weekend, please contact 083 1400293 by Wednesday May 12th.
Each participant will be asked to share a selfie following the completion of their 5km by using the hashtag #AtheatoCrokePark on social media, together with the link to the gofundme page. All covid – 19 public advice guidelines will be adhered to.

Return to play
We are delighted to have our field back in use this week with the return of underage training. Please continue to follow public advice guidelines at all times.

Sympathy
Athea GAA would like to convey our sympathies to the Dalton, Woulfe and Horgan families on the sad passing of Patrick Dalton RIP, Dick Woulfe RIP & Noreen Horgan RIP in the past few days. We hope the strong Athea contingent are happily united together in heaven.
