Our Annual Bord Nog Christmas Quiz will take place on Sunday 28th December 2025 at the Community Hall more details to follow.
Mens Football:
County U20 A Football Championship- Semi-final
Venue: North Campus, Ul. Date/time: Saturday December 20th 2025 at 5pm
Shannon Gaels Athea v Drom Broadford.
We received a walkover from Claughaun at the weekend and Ahane could only draw with Galtee Gaels which was enough for us to advance to the Semi-finals this Saturday coming at 5pm in the North Campus pitch at UL.
Our opponents are Drom Broadford and they will be favourites having topped Group 1 comfortably. So we will have to be firing on all cylinders to cause an upset in this one
However, with good support on the day cheering them on anything is possible. Athea has 12 players involved so is very well represented. Put this date in your diary.

Clothes Collection:
Our clothes collection is now closed, many thanks to all who donated, a lot was collected again this year.
U16 County Team 2026:
Huge well done to Shauna Collins and Loren Healy who made the u16B team for 2026 after a very competitive trial process. We wish them and their teammates the best of luck in the coming season. We look forward to following their progress.
U14 County Team 2026:
Huge well done to Anna Murphy who made the u14 county team we wish her all the best in the season ahead
Minor League Final:
Hard luck to our minor ladies who were defeated by Oola in Oola last Sunday. They got off to the worse possible start conceding some early goals. They worked hard through the remainder of the half and were 8 points down at half time.
The girls re grouped and worked hard in the second half but could not close the gap any further. Huge thanks to the girls in their commitment this year and thanks to David O’ Connor for his management for looking after them this year.
AGM:
Our AGM will take place Sunday 18th January 2026 8 pm at Community Hall.

The last draw took place the 15th of December. The Lucky winner of €276 is Connie Scanlon Congratulations. The next draw will take place on Monday the 29th of December

Club Draw:
Our final club draw took place Sunday the 14th of December. Congratulations to all winners. Thanks to everyone for supporting our annual fundraising draw.
