AGM:
Athea GAA AGM will take place on Sunday January 19th at Con Colbert Hall at 7.30pm. Everyone welcome to attend.
Bord na nÓg Christmas Quiz:
Huge thanks to everyone who supported our Annual Table Quiz at Con Colbert Hall on December 28th at Con Colbert Hall. Thanks to everyone who donated prizes for our raffle, to Declan O’Carroll for providing the sound, to Athea Credit Union Limited for sponsoring first prize, to the Hall Committee for the use of the Hall, to all who helped out on the evening & Tommy Woulfe for providing the shop, to Mattie Histon for his help and guidance with the questions, and finally to Quiz Master Supreme John Hunt. The 2024 title went to ‘QR Code’ who generously donated the prize back to the Club.
A presentation was also made to current Club PRO Damien Ahern who will stand down from this role at the next AGM after 5 years of service. Anyone interested in putting their name forward for the PRO position for the year ahead are asked to contact any member of the committee.
County Panel:
Limerick U20 Football Manager John O Grady and his management team has released his Limerick U20 Football Panel for the 2025 season. Congratulations and well done to Evan Curry who was selected on the panel.
Every Step Counts:
Every Step Counts – Get Ready for 2025! Every Step Counts is back! It’s time to reconnect with your club and community and feel the benefits of physical exercise. Get tracking for 5 weeks from Wednesday 8th January to Wednesday 12th February to help your club reach a combined target of 4,000km.
Any club that hits the 4,000km distance over 5 weeks will be entered into the draw to win a share. There’ll be 3 donations of *€2,500 towards club funding per province up for grabs.
The more participants we get, the quicker we will hit the target, so make sure that every step really does count!

Congratulations to Dickie & Deirdre who were the last winners of Split the Bucket for 2024, winning €182.50. Next Draw will be January 13th.
