Athea GAA Club Notes:
Munster Schools ‘C’ Final:
Best of luck to Evan Curry, Callum Buckley and James Broderick and the rest of the Tarbert Comprehensive team who are in the Munster Schools ‘C’ Final this Saturday in Banteer against Bantry.

County Teams:
Huge well done to our girls who represented the club so well at the weekend. First up was Rebecca Collins on Saturday evening where she played at half forward on the Limerick team that were defeated by a strong Kerry team in Cappamore. Geraldine Carmody played in goals for Limerick U16 B and Meave Murphy and Grace Hunt took up the wing backs on the U16A team against the same opposition. Although both teams were defeated on the day they were closely contested matches. The girls are preparing for the second round of the championship this weekend. Huge well done to our adult player Stephanie Woulfe ( Templeglantine ) who was on the UL team to win the Ashbourne Cup at the weekend. Enjoy the celebrations.

Athea U13 Division 3 County Final Medal Presentation Night:
The victorious Athea U13 Team, who won the Division 3 U13 County Final in 2023 were presented with their medals by Limerick Senior Footballer Peter Nash on Sunday last at Con Colbert Hall. The boys were treated to some refreshments, and the match was played on the big screen. The club would like to thank Peter for travelling out to Athea to present the medals, and for also giving freely of his time to answer questions from the boys, and for being such a positive role model for the boys.
