2024 Membership

Membership is a vital part of ensuring our club’s continued success and development. Whether you are a player, coach, supporter, track user, parent of a player or member of the wider community, we welcome all new members.
The monies received are used towards: maintenance and development of facilities, playing equipment, affiliation fees, insurance, utility bills, team preparation and other administrative costs.
Please note – All players, coaches, mentors and committee members need to be registered before participating in training/matches for the upcoming year. Players must be covered by the Player Injury Sport fund, in the event of any injuries whilst representing the club. Guardians must ensure that all Youth players are registered.

Athea GAA & LGFA Social:
We are pleased to announce that the club will be hosting a Dinner Dance Fri 1st March in the Devon Inn. Looking forward to getting dressed up, dining on great food, dancing the night away while joining our ladies team in celebrating a memorable 2023. Athea GMAO:
Gaelic 4 Mothers & Others will resume again this year. If there is anyone who would like to join for an hour of fun, friendship, exercise and laughter please contact Jacqueline O’Connor on 086 0670091. The group would love to see some new faces, and the regulars returning to the field.

Adult team:
Our intermediate ladies team will return to the track this Friday night for some pre-season training. We wish them well. If there is anyone that would like to join ,the team is always looking for new / old members.

County Teams:
Well done to all our club players making the 2024 Limerick county teams. Kayla Sheehy u14. Grace Hunt and Maeve Murphy U16A , Geraldine Carmody U16B and Rebecca Collins U18.
Congratulations to Grace Hunt who was also named as Vice – captain of the U16 Co Team. This is a huge honour for Grace, her family, and the club. We wish her and her team mates well as they prepare for their Munster championship on Feb 11th .

Split the Bucket:
Congratulations to Agatha Barrett, who was last week’s Split the Bucket winner, going home with the grand total of €364. The next draw will take place on Monday January 29th. Envelopes can be purchased at Dick Whites, Collins Shop, O’ Riordan’s Pharmacy, Athea Credit Union, Brown Joes, Batts,Bingo at Con Colbert Hall on Friday nights, Chinese Takeaway, Gables Grill and during events at Pairc na nGael. Ireland Lights Up:
In conjunction with Operation Transformation, Athea GAA will host the Annual Ireland Lights Up Walks on Thursday evenings from 7pm – 8pm, running from January 11th – February 29th. Those who sign up & attend the full 8 week programme will be entered into a draw to win 1 of 30 free Healthy Ireland Goodie Bags.
