U13 Football League:
We played the third round of the u13 league in Athea on Thursday evening against Monagea. Monagea started the game in whirlwind fashion and were up 2:2 to a single point midway through the first half after which Athea found their rhythm and started playing some intelligent football. Mark Ahern drove forward from centre back fielded a high ball on the edge of the square and stuck a well earned goal which kick started the Athea revival followed by a point from Daniel Hunt and Conor Fennelly. Monagea again got a quick goal and a point at the start of the second half but Athea responded again with a goal from Daniel Hunt and a point from Mark Collins. Athea had all the possession in the final quarter and push hard for an equalising goal and were awarded two penalties in the final minutes but were unable to convert either. The Final score was Monagea 3:6 Athea 2:6.

Best of Luck to Daniel
Best of luck to Daniel Hunt who is playing for Limerick in the primary game which will be played at half time in the Munster Senior Football Championship game between Limerick and Tipperary in Thurles on Saturday at 7pm. This is a great honour for Daniel and the whole Club.
