ATHEA

Club Development Draw
Just a few days left to purchase your ticket for the Athea GAA Club Draw 2022.
Our Club has set ourselves an ambitious plan to achieve the following over the coming months –
1. Drainage and sand carpet of Lower and Upper Training areas
2. Tarmacadam resurfacing of Carpark
3. Installation of Sound System around our Walk & Talk Track.
This will only be possible if we raise sufficient funds through our Club Development Draw to part fund these projects. We have listened to you, the public, and taken on board feedback received on developments required to improve user experience. Tickets are priced at just €50, gaining access to 5 draws over 5 months with a total prize fund of €7,200.
If you would like to be training on a smooth sand carpet pitch, parking your car in a lined, high-quality surface, or running the track to the sound of ABBA, then please do consider supporting our annual fundraiser. Tickets can be purchased now through Clubforce – https://member.clubforce.com/memberships_cart_m.asp.

We started back the U11 league on Tuesday last after the Summer break against a strong Cappagh/Rathkeale team. We had 19 players on the evening and all played extremely well attacking freely and defending fearlessly with some excellent points being kicked and great skill levels on display. The panel for the evening was; Lily Carmody, Nathan Ambrose, Aaron Hunt, Se Ahern, Jack Leahy, Eoin Ahern, Tadhg Hunt, Rory Carmody, Jontie Weiling, Oran Hayes, Shane Ahern, Cathal Fitzgerald, Shauna Collins, Loren Healy, Aine Ahern, Anna Murphy, Liam Og Reidy, Tiarnan Fitzgerald, Oisin McCarthy.
