Con and Annie Kirby Final:
Our nominated dog Pain Barrier has qualified for the final of the Con and Annie Kirby Stake. The club is now guaranteed atleast €1,000 in prize money. Hopefully Pain Barrier can go all the way and claim €10,000 for the club if successful this Saturday night at Limerick Greyhound Stadium. We hope to see a big club support there on the night and complementary passes are available from the club while stocks last.
Puc and Cic Fada:
Well done to Oisin O’Connor and Conor Sheahan who competed in the Puc Fada at Limerick Greyhound Stadium last Saturday night and to Odhran Walsh and Kayden Delahunty who competed in the Cic Fada. Some great efforts from the lads saw them unlucky not to qualify for the final.
Under 17 Football League:
ABK Desmonds 4-17 South Liberties/Crecora Manister 3-14
Our under 17 footballers got their year off to the best possible start with a six point victory in Crecora on Wednesday last. In a free flowing and entertaining game our lads superior attacking flair eventually won out in a high scoring encounter.
Shane Ryan led the way on the scoring chart with a huge tally of 4 goals and 3 points. Sean Downes and Brooklyn Delahunty also got in on the scoring act landing some fine points from all angles.
Overall a fine display from our 17s with good performances throughout the field. Team Cathal Daly, Ben Fitzgerald, Gavin Rushe, Aaron Cregan, Nathan Dalton, Danny Murphy, Dessie Downes, Cillian Murphy, Brooklyn Delahunty, Jamie Sheahan, Sean Downes, Lorcan Blackwell, Willie Russell, Shane Ryan, Shane Collins.

Under 13 Football League:
ABK Desmonds 3-04 St Kierans 3-02
Our under 13 footballers grabbed victory from the jaws of defeat on Thursday night in Coolcappa when Danny Anglim scored an injury time winning goal after an exciting hour of football. With just 15 players available due to injury well done to the entire team for battling so hard throughout the game. Team and scorers Darragh Moran, Josh O’Donoghue, Niall Sheehy, Jake Gallagher, Bradley Kelly, Dylan O’Connor 0-1, Kayden Delahunty, Cian Somers, Oisin O’Connor, Paidi Sheehy, Danny Anglim 3-03, Sean Greene, Odhran Walsh, Eoghan Kelly, Cathal O’Donoghue.
Sympathies:
All at the club extend our deepest condolences to the family of Jack O’Donoghue who sadly passed away this week following a tragic accident.
Jack played hurling and football with the club in both codes most notably as a goalkeeper. Following a fine underage career between the sticks Jack was selected as first choice goalkeeper for the Limerick Minor football team and donned the number one jersey in their Munster Championship games against Cork in Pairc Ui Chaoimh and Waterford in Dungarvan in 2009. Travel and injuries would curtail his adult career before he returned as netminder for the Junior B hurlers and played a key role in their 2017 West League triumph. Jack was a fearless goalkeeper that made many a save in that campaign, very loyal to his teammates and great to look out for the younger players on the field.
He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
