Bon Secours Senior Hurling County Championship:
Our Senior hurlers battled tough conditions in Cappamore as they played Doon in a quest for a quarter final spot. It was score for score in the opening fifteen minutes as Tom Morrissey and Darragh O’Donovan traded points. However, our inaccuracies saw Doon move ahead and remain ahead for the rest of the game. At half time the score was Ahane 0-07 Doon 1-07. We started the second half strongly and got the game back to a one-point gap but Doon kept their scores ticking over and got a second goal. We ran out of time in the end and the game ended on a score line of Ahane 0-13 Doon 2-13. We end our 2023 season with a defeat but can take a lot of positives out of the year!
