Ahane GAA Club Notes:
Bon Secours East Junior A Football:
We welcomed Oola to Mackey Park on Sunday evening to play the second round of the East Junior A Football League. In a good game between two well matched sides the game finished in a draw on a score line of Ahane 1-12 Oola 2-09.
Bord na nOg:
Hard luck to our u15 hurlers who lost their Féile semi final on Monday v Glenquin Gaels.
We are proud of all the boys who represented our club so well in Féile this year and thanks to the coaches. Best of luck to the team for the rest of the season. Thanks to all who supported the lads over the weekend.
Well done to our u11 hurlers who hosted South Liberties Tuesday evening in Mackey Park. Once again the conditions weren’t great (hailstones at one point) but the hurling was excellent! We fielded three teams who each played three matches.
Thanks to South Liberties for the great games and thanks too to our coaches and parent volunteers who assisted with first aid and parking.
Thanks to all who came to support the group
Hard luck to our u13 hurlers who came up short away to Hospital Herbertstown in what was a closely fought contest on Thursday evening. Congrats to Hospital Herbertsown. Final score 3-3 to 1-5
Well done to Ahane’s Liam Óg Glynn who played for the Limerick minor football team in their championship match v Tipperary last Thursday.
Well done to Ahane’s James Rennison who played for Limerick on Saturday in the Celtic Challenge…the result didn’t go Limerick’s way v Galway but James was one of the goal scorers…here’s an action shot of him!
