AHANE GAA CLUB NOTES
Club Lotto
You can now enter our Lotto for 2021 online through the link here https://www.ahanegaa.ie/products. There are 10 draws with the jackpot starting at €5,500 and increasing by €500 each month to €10,000 in December. You can join the Club Lotto for €120 and you can join the CLUB Limerick Lotto and the Club Lotto for €170. We will also have our members draw with the 1st prize being €200, 2nd prize €150 and the remaining 8 prizes €120. The Club Lotto is our biggest annual fundraiser, and it helps to keep the club running day to day. Without your continued support we would not be able to keep the Club running and we would not be able to develop our facilities. To those who have entered already we appreciate your support greatly!
Membership
Reminder that you can now pay your membership online through the link here https://ahanegaa.clubzap.com/membership_products. You have to be a member of the club to be eligible to play with the club, if you are not a member of the club then you are not insured to play with the club. If you want to use any of the facilities in the club you have to be a member of the club. With the announcement made two weeks ago that underage are allowed back training from April 26th it is vitally important that everyone is registered so they can all go back training!
Last Man Standing Competition
Week 7 saw another 14 people be knocked out of our Last Man Standing so we only have 29 people still standing in the competition! The most popular picks were Arsenal, Man City, and Liverpool, unfortunately for the people who picked Man City they were let down as they lost to Leeds 2-1 in a shock result. Due to FA Cup action, participants have four less fixtures to choose from for week 8. Huge well done to everyone who is still in the competition and huge thank you to everyone who got involved with the competition.
Con and Annie Kirby Memorial Stake
Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be for Bombardier on Saturday evening in the Semi Final of the Con and Annie Kirby Memorial Stake. Running in the first Semi Final, he was up against some tough competition and unfortunately came in, in fourth place. Bombardier has put in fantastic performances for all his races, but it just wasn’t to be on Saturday. We want to thank everyone who got involved in the virtual events that were held over the past few weeks as part of the Con and Annie Memorial Stake, and we want to wish all the remaining clubs and dogs the very best of luck next weekend in the final.
Bord na nOg Return to Play Schedule
All at Ahane Bord na nÓg are looking forward to the resumption of underage sport on the 26th of April. It’s been a long time coming. The START dates for each underage group in each discipline are set out here. All training sessions at Mackey Park unless otherwise stated. Mentors will be in touch with more details.
All children must be registered with the Club before play resumes. Please register online.
We look forward to welcoming the kids back to the pitch!
