AHANE GAA CLUB NOTES
Con and Annie Kirby Memorial Stake
Saturday evening saw the second round of the Con and Annie Kirby Memorial Stake take place in the Limerick Greyhound Stadium. Our dog Bombardier was in Heat 1 and came away with a first-place win after running a fantastic race. He is now in the quarter finals where he will be running in heat 2 which takes place next Saturday. Keep an eye on our social media for all the latest news on the Con and Annie Kirby Memorial Stake.
Club Lotto
You can now do our Club Lotto for 2021 online. You will find the link to our website on all our social medias. There will be 10 monthly draws with the first jackpot starting at €5,500 and increasing by €500 each month to €10,000 in December. There will also be the members draw with 1st prize being €200, 2nd prize being €150 and the following 8 prizes €120. It is €120 to join the Club Lotto and if you join the Club Lotto and the CLUB Limerick Draw together it is only €170. The Club Lotto is our biggest annual fundraiser, and it allows us to keep the club running day to day, so without your continued support of our Lotto we would not be able to keep the club running. We appreciate all your support hugely!
Happy Easter
We hope everyone had a great Easter Weekend and managed to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather we had over the weekend!
COVID-19
There is light at the end of the tunnel in regard to getting back out on the field and back playing. An Taoiseach Micheal Martin has stated that Underage sports can go back training from April 26th, which is fantastic news, however this date is conditional meaning if cases begin to rise again, we will not be able to go back training at this date. This means that everyone has to keep doing what they are doing and staying apart to keep everyone safe. It has been a very tough 13 months but hopefully if we can just keep doing what we are doing and following restrictions we can all be back out playing very soon.
