Con and Annie Kirby Memorial Stake 2021
Saturday evening saw the Con and Annie Kirby Memorial Stake kick off. There were 12 Heats with our dog Bombardier running in Heat 11. Bombardier came in 4th but still qualified for the next round as they were one of the fastest 4th placed dogs. The Con and Annie Kirby Memorial Stake is always a great night of entertainment for all the clubs involved but unfortunately due to Covid-19 restrictions it has to be held behind closed doors this year. However, you can keep up to date on all the events and the races on social media. You will find all the information on the Limerick Greyhound Stadium’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. We hope all our members and everyone in the community has a very enjoyable Easter with their families. We are looking forward to the day when we can come back together and celebrate all these occasions again together. We hope you have a great weekend and eat lots of chocolate!
Club Lotto
You can now enter our club lotto for 2021 online! There will be 10 monthly draws, with a members draw each month too, 1st prize €200, 2nd prize €150 and the remaining 8 names drawn will win €100. Our first draw starts at a jackpot of €5000 and increases by €500 monthly to €10,000 in December. To join the Club Lotto it is €120 and to join the Club Lotto and the Club Limerick Draw it is €170. Your support of the lotto means that the club can continue to upgrade and maintain the club facilities to the highest standards. Without your support of our Club Lotto we would not be able to keep the club running as our Lotto is our biggest annual fundraiser. We appreciate your support hugely. We will be doing printed copies of our lotto too as we do every year which will be available after Easter, along with the brochure.
Club Limerick Draw
The first Club Limerick Draw was held on Saturday 27th March. If you want to enter into the Club Limerick Draw you can do so in the following ways; you can select the package with the club where you are entered into the club lotto and the Club Limerick Draw, you can do so directly through the Club Limerick website www.clublimerick.ie/draw, you can call Siobhan Scanlon who is the project coordinator on 0873520395, you can write using the following address, CLUB Limerick Draw Aras Mumhan, Castletroy, Limerick or finally you can email info.clublimerick@gaa.ie. The CLUB Limerick draw raises funds for the Football and Hurling teams training fund from Minor to Senior Grades. By entering into the CLUB Limerick Draw you are also supporting your local GAA club as half of your money goes to your nominated club. When you enter into the CLUB Limerick draw you are in with a chance of winning €10,000 each month from March to December. There will be 30 cash prizes and an exclusive star prize each month.
