AHANE

U17 Hurling
Our U17 Hurlers travelled to Mick Neville Park to play Ballybrown in the U17 Div 2 Hurling Final. Unfortunately for the lads they came out on the wrong side of the result and lost out by two points. The boys have had a great campaign and we are very proud of them.
U9 Hurling
Our U9’s completed their season with a trip to Thurles to take part in the GO Games in Thurles on Saturday which was organised by Munster GAA. They departed Ahane on the bus and headed with much excitement to Thurles. They braved all the elements as they had lashing rain, thunderstorms and some hailstones. We fielded two teams and played games against De La Salle, Kiltha Óg and Clonakenny. They finished off their day with a trip to Supermacs and then it was back on the bus and back on the road to Mackey Park. Well done to all the kids on a super season, huge thank you to their coaches for organising the trip and to their parents of all the support over the year.
U9 Football
Our U9 footballers finished up their season on Wednesday as they had a pizza party at the end of training. The lads have had a great season where they have played in several blitzes and travelled to several clubs!
Home Coming
Liam McCarthy is coming to visit Mackey Park on Sunday 23rd at 3pm with Dan Morrissey, Tom Morrissey and Ciarán Barry. Come down and down us in giving our three homegrown heroes a hero’s welcome. You can get your photo taken with the Liam McCarthy and the three lads. There will be refreshments in the clubhouse! It promises to be a great afternoon!
