Junior Football
Thursday saw our junior footballers take on Hospital Herbertstown in the Junior A Football Co Championship playoff. We started well and got some lovely scores. Hospital Herbertstown got a goal just before half time which was a sucker blow for our lads. Half time Ahane 0-07 Hospital Herbertstown 1-05. The second half got underway, and it was another very good half of football. Unfortunately, we kicked some wides and missed goal chances that would have sealed the win for us. Full time Ahane 0-14 Hospital Herbertstown 2-12.
U6 Football
Our U6 footballers had their last training session of 2022 on Wednesday evening and were certified as official Ahane footballers! Thanks to the coaches for their hard work all year and to their parents for their support.
U7 Hurlers
Conor Bickford and Abby Murrihy volunteered this year with the U7’s as part of their Limerick Sports Partnership course! Some of our U7’s presented them with a token of their appreciation, they were fabulous! Well done Abby and Conor.
U11 Hurling
The U11 hurlers finished up their season with a game against Doon. All players put in excellent performances and did very well! Huge thank you to all the parents and friends for their support over the year. Thanks to all the coaches for their hard work and dedication over the year.
U13 Football
Our U13 footballers took on Dromcollogher Broadford on Thursday evening in Mick Neville Park in the County Semi-Final. Unfortunately, despite our lads’ best efforts they came out on the wrong side of the result. They played some great football! Full time Ahane 1-05 Dromcollogher Broadford 2-04.
U17 Hurling
Well done to our U17 hurlers who won their semi-final on Saturday. The lads won on a score line of 1-18 to 1-16. They are now through to the final against Ballybrown.
Club Óige
Tá club óige a eagrú ag CLG Átháin le tacaíocht ó Cumann na bhFiann. An bhfuil suim ag do pháistí craic agus spraoi bígí linn. CLG Átháin is organising a youth club as Gaeilge with the support of Cumman na bhFiann. The first session on October 7th is a taster session to gauge interest in advance. You can register using the link on our social media pages. Kids with all levels of Irish welcome!
