AHANE

Senior Hurling
Friday night saw us take on our neighbours in Doon in the Senior Hurling Co Championship. It was a game of wides for the first eight minutes as the sides shared nine wides between them before the first score. It was Doon that got the rub of the green and at half time it was Ahane 0-06 Doon 2-07. As the saying goes, goals win games and that was the case here. Doon scored three more goals in the second half and the game ended with a score line of Ahane 0-13 Doon 5-14.
Junior A Hurling
Our Junior A Hurlers travelled to Ballybricken Bohermore to play Claughaun. We played against a strong wind in the first half and Claughaun took advantage of it. Half time Ahane 0-03 Claughaun 1-13. We finished the game with fourteen men as Mark Foley received two yellows. We struggled to hit the target in the second half and couldn’t take advantage of the strong wind. Full time Ahane 0-08 Claughaun 2-18.
U13 Hurling
Wishing our U13 hurlers the very best of luck on Sunday as they play Murroe Boher in the Final after they won out against Kilmallock in the Semi Final. The final is an all-ticket event and the link to tickets can be found on our social media pages. Game takes place next Sunday in Claughaun at 11am.
