ADARE GAA CLUB NOTES
There was another excellent line up this week at the Adare GAA Bord na nÓg Virtual Hurling Camp. Thanks to our Senior Hurler’s Jody Hannon and Mark Connolly who led a high energy workout and skills session. The boys and girls’ legs were tired at the end and they were delighted to take time to listen when our very own Limerick Camoige star Caoimhe Costelloe and for a third year running, right corner back All-Star, Sean Finn arrived for the Q&A. Caoimhe and Sean shared some honest insights into their sporting careers and our future stars got some great tips from both of them. Thank you to Caoimhe and Sean. The final weekend of the camp is next Saturday morn-ing at 10am and we are looking forward to Senior Hurlers, Brendan O’Connor & Willie Griffin who will lead the workout and skills session. Our own Grace McNamara, Chairperson of Limerick Camoige and Hurler of the Year Gearoid Hegarty will be in the hot seat to answer the boys and girls’ questions. A huge thanks to John Fitzgibbon who hosted the camp.
Our u/11 and u/15’s continue with their on-line training sessions this week and our 13’s are taking a break as the boys settle back to school. The u/15’s Hurling Management team arranged a talk on the “The Choices Teenagers Make” with Sergeant John Flanagan of the Continuous Professional Development Team in Henry Street. Both parents and the boys attended and the feedback was that it was very valuable time spent.
The Friday 12th March Lotto draw numbers were: 15, 18, 23, 31. There was no winner which raises the Jackpot to €6,400. Remember you can now complete our weekly lotto online, google ’Adare GAA Smart lotto’. The next draw takes place Friday 19th March at 8:30pm.
We would also like to wish everyone a very happy St. Patrick’s Day as our community comes to-gether as one, as part of Tourisimireland’s #Globalgreening campaign for St. Patricks Day. “Grá áite”.
