Hard-luck to our Senior Footballers and Hurlers who both lost out to Fr. Casey’s and Granagh/Ballingarry respectively in their West league competitions.
We had many of our Bord na nÓg teams in action last week and the teams were a credit to the club. Work rate was the consistent feature across all the boys matches.
U15 Football: Adare won against Cappamore in the Championship on Monday evening in Kilcornan. It was a very evenly matched game and neck and neck until Adare scored 2 goals in the last quarter to take the win. Adare sponsored by Sean Collins Bar and Cllr Bridie Collins. U13 Football: Adare narrowly lost out to Monaleen on Thursday in the Championship to a goal scored in the dying seconds. Final score was 4-5 to 3-5. Adare sponsored by Adare Veterinary Clinic. U11 Hurlers had a blitz with Knockaderry on Tuesday. The matches were very competitive and it’s easy to see how our boys skills are developing. The Adare boys work rate was immense, and they really got stuck in. Adare sponsored by Murphy Gubbins Auctioneers. U9 Hurlers played against Na Piarsaigh on Wednesday. Well done to all 30 boys who showed huge team spirit and demonstrated great work ethic. Adare sponsored by Hogan Dowling McNamara Solicitors. U7 footballers took part in their 1st Football blitz of the year against Newcastlewest. The 20 boys really showed off their brilliant skills and played with great determination. Adare sponsored by O’Connells Crecora Mills.
