Bord na nÓg would like to thank all the managers and coaches of our underage teams who have committed their time to training the boys. The effort they have put into getting upskilled and preparing and delivering the sessions each week for the boys doesn’t go unnoticed. Also, a big thanks our Senior teams and the support the give the underage teams. It is very valuable for the boys to have access to their experience and learning skills from the people they aspire to be.

Training continued on Friday evening for the u/7s hurling team and despite the miserable weather conditions there was still a great turn out. During the training session the boys continued to perfect the hurley grip while the skills of striking and dribbling the sliotar took place. Well done again to all boys, you can already see the difference the couple of weeks training has made.
U9 hurling had over 30 boys training this week. They have been having great fun the last few weeks working on fundamental movements, catching and striking from the hand. U9 and U7 football has a combined session with over 40 boys on Wednesday night. They continue to work on scoring, hand pass, catching and movement skills. All the boys are playing a blinder.
We have been easing the U11 footballers back into action by focussing on fun and spending time on skills and games but also obstacle courses and fundamental movement. The boys are a pleasure to coach and are showing great enthusiasm each week. We look forward to seeing them every Wednesday evening.
All new players are welcome any time to Bord na nÓg.
