July, when Kilkenny were the opponents in the Quarter Final game and what a gripping game that saw Limerick emerge victorious by a two point margin 0.27 to 1.22, the Kilkenny goal came late in the game giving them a 1.21 to 0.22 lead with less than six minutes remaining but Limerick fought back to earn a well deserved win and a place in the Semi Final.
