A Few Hard Luck Stories, but better days on the horizon.
Our Senior Hurlers lost out to Tipperary in the Munster Champonship, but bounced back to score wins over Antrim in Pairc na nGael on Saturday 30th. June, in Phase 1 of the All Ireland Senior Hurling Championship and followed up two weeks later in Semple Stadium with a win over Clare in Phase 11, by 3.18 to 1.20 to reach the Quarter Final game with Kilkenny who scored a 4.16 to 1.16 win played in Semple Stadium Thurles in front of a crowd of 38,116.on Sunday 29th. July as part of a double header.
Our Senior Footballers were operating in Allianz Football League Division having been relegated in 2011, they played Clare in the Munster Senior Football Championship Semi Final where they lost by the narrowest of margins, 1.13 to 0.15 in Pairc na nGael on Saturday 9th. June.
