A big Weekend in the Banner County for Limerick

Ceratinly a big weekend in store in the Banner County for Limerick and it has got off to a great start on this Saturday,

Puc Fada Success for Limerick :

John Chawke (Kildimo Pallaskenry) won the Munster Senior Puck Fada while Donie Franklin took Fourth Place in the Under 16 Competition which were held in the Burren

CELTIC CHALLENGE :
TWO Limerick teams play in the quarter finals of the Celtic Challenge – All Ireland U-17 hurling competition – this Saturday.
After five rounds of the competition over the last two months, the teams were graded for the knockout stages and both Limerick sides were positioned in Division Three – Corn William Robinson.
Both Limerick teams are in quarter action final on Saturday (2.00) in the Clare GAA grounds in Caherlohan (near Tulla).
Limerick Sarsfields play Galway Tribesmen and Limerick Treaty play Clare Saffrons.
The winners will play their semi finals the following Saturday, while the national finals will be played on Saturday June 20 in O’Connor Park in Tullamore.

Limerick Sarsfields select from the City and West clubs and are managed by Gerard Murphy, Donal O’Grady and Peter Nash.
Limerick Treaty is drawn from clubs in South and East – they are managed by Ollie Coffey, James Ryan, Declan Murphy , Paddy McInerney, Declan Hickey and Garry McCarthy.

Later this Saturday evening, in Sixmilebridge Limerick will play Clare in Round 2 of the All Ireland Senior Camogie Championship.at 5pm. Both sides lost out last weekend in the opening round so it will a very interesting encounter as both sides will be looking to make up ground.

On tomorrow Sunday, the Ladies Football will meet in Clarecastle in the Munster Intermediate Championship Final at 11am.

Cusack Park in Ennis will be packed for the meeting Clare and Limerick in the Munster Hurling Championship Round 5 games.
The Minors will meet at 12noon followed by the Senior game at 2pm.
