A BIG WEEKEND FOR LIMERICK GAA

A Big Weekend for Limerick GAA with crucial games in both codes.

First into action will be County and Munster Champions, Na Piarsaigh who will play Dublin, Leinster and 2017 All Ireland Champions, Cuala, in the AIB GAA Hurling All Ireland Senior Club Championship Final on Saturday, St. Patrick’s Day in Croke Park at 3.45pm. Cuala defeated Galway and Connaght Champions, Liam Mellows in the Semi Final while Na Piarsaigh made a second half comeback to overcome Derry and Ulster Champions Slaughtneill playing with 13 players for the most of the half and a wonder Goal from Shane Dowling – the main talking point after the game – to help his side to to record a 3.15 to 3.08 win and a place in the final.

On Sunday the County have two Allianz League games, the Footballers after their well merited win over Waterford last Saturday in Martinstown by 2.10 to 2.09 will make the long journey to Aughrim to play Wicklow at 2pm in Round Six of the Football League and will be hoping for a good result.
The Hurlers have a home game in the Hurling League Quarter Final where they will play neighbours Clare in the Gaelic Grounds at 4pm and they will be hoping to continue on their winning way in an effort to reach the Semi Final
