Mungret St Paul’s and Camogue Rovers to meet in Limerick junior football decider:
By John Keogh Limerick Leader Sport
MUNGRET ST PAUL’S and Camogue Rovers meet this Sunday morning in the Woodlands House Hotel Junior A Football Championship Final at Cappamore.
Mungret are gunning for a second county football title in the space of 24 hours following their intermediate win on Saturday, while Camogue are aiming to upset the party.
Camogue have reached this stage following a 1-25 to 1-18 win over Hospital-Herbertstown in the semi-final with Mungret getting to the final on the back of a 4-12 to 1-9 victory over Ballybricken-Bohermore.
Rovers finished third in their group behind Hospital and Ballybricken but have navigated their way through to the decider. However, they come into the final as underdogs, a position they will hope to relish, due to Mungret’s 100% record in the championship to date.
Mungret will be more than comfortable with that favourites tag and will expect to add this title to the Intermediate and Junior Hurling trophies already in the cabinet. The game throws in at 11am in Cappamore.
