2023 County Scór Sinsir Final:

Askeaton provided an outstanding venue for the 2023 Scór Sinsir County Final last weekend.

All 4 divisions were represented with all 4 divisions sharing the spoils.

Veronica Callinan, Irish Cultural Officer was an excellent Bean an Tí and kept the show moving with the minimum of fuss.

Crecora/ Manister will once again represent Limerick in the Figure Dancing competition.

Cappamores Alan Kennedy was crowned County Winner in the Solo Singing competition. In what was a very enjoyable competition Monaleen, Pallasgreen and Granagh/Ballingarry gave excellent performances but Alan got the nod to proceed to the Munster semi final.

West Limerick’s Monagea also too the honours in the hotly contested Recitation/Story telling competitions. Ahane and Monaleen were in the mix but Rita O’Grady came out on top and will fly the Limerick flag in the provincial semi final decider.

Pallasgreen had the audience rolling in laughter with their Novelty Act eapecially their attire. They had a great presence on stage and we can’t wait to see them again in the Munster semi Final.

Gerald Griffins ceol uirlise who had us all tapping our feet and in awe of their musicianship. With an array of instruments they are sure to impress the judges at the Munster semi Final.

Monaleen and Cappamore battled it out for the County Title with their polished set Dancing. Cappamore took the honours, with 2 Senior All Ireland titles and numerous Munster titles Cappamore will once again carry Limerick’s hopes on home ground on Oct 21st.

All roads now lead to Pallasgreen for the Munster semi final on Oct 21st 2023 with proceedings getting underway at 5.00 pm sharp.
As we are on home ground – it would be great to see a massive Limerick contingent to support our county winners.

The Munster Final will take place in Newport, Co. Tipperary on the 28th October 2023. With the All Ireland Scór Sinsir final taking place in the INEC, Killarney on the 18th November 2023.
