ST PATRICK’S GAA CLUB NOTES
Bord na nÓg:
Well done to our U15 football team who had a great run in the Féile na nGael qualifier last weekend. On Friday they travelled to Cappamore and topped a group containing the home side, Monaleen, Pallasgreen and Caherconlish. Four games were tough on the body and on Saturday morning we headed to Mick Neville Park to play Ballybricken in the Semi Final, minus two key players from the previous days endeavours. Ballybricken were the stronger side that morning and progressed to the Féile final, but it was a super effort from this young St Patrick’s group who did the jersey proud over the two days and great credit goes to the panel of players and management.
Championship begins:
As the evenings become longer, it always coincides with the return of championship and this week our U13 & U15 hurling teams will be first in action. The U15s are in Caherdavin on Monday evening to play Na Piarsaigh and the U13s are also on the road on Thursday against Pallasgreen. Best of luck to all involved.
Friday Night Lights:
A glorious night for the return to Rhebogue and it was fantastic to see huge numbers once again. We had a very special guest for the return to Rhebogue, with Liam McCarthy paying another visit.
