RATHKEALE GAA CLUB NOTES
70th Annual Christmas Draw
You will most likely have received your allocation of tickets over the last week or so, for the upcoming 70th Annual Christmas Draw. With a few minor adjustments to the draw due to COVID reasons, you are guaranteed to be in the running of securing one of our 50 top prizes on offer!
In alignment with our #TeamRathkeale colleagues, all of our fantastic prizes have been sourced locally, there is no better time to support Rathkeale GAA Club while equally shopping local!
We would like to thank you for your support over the last number of years, and we once again hope that you can help continue to support Rathkeale GAA Club in bringing further enhancements to the facilities of your Club in 2022.
The draw itself will be held on December 18th in the Bog Garden, we hope to stream the event live on our social media platforms, more detail to follow on that over the coming weeks! #70thAnnualChristmasDraw
U21 Footballers
After enjoying a good win in the opening round of the U21 Bloomers County Premier Football Championship against Mungret St Pauls, the footballers of Rathkeale\Cappagh went onto suffer two defeats. In Round 2 they came up short against Galbally, while last Friday evening they narrowly lost out to near neighbours, Necastle West, on a scoreline of 1-09 to 0-09. That brings an end to our U21 campaign for this season with both Galbally and Mungret St Pauls advancing to the semi-finals. Well done to both the players and management.
U21 Hurlers
Our U21 Hurler’s season also has come to an end in what was a very competitive Premier group. They enjoyed a convincing win over Ahane and were competitive against Mungret St Pauls, however they came up short against Garryspillane and Patrickswell respectively. Hopefully they will enjoy better days in this grade in 2022. Again, well done to both the players and management.
