U19 Premier County Final
St Patrick’s 2 09 Mungret 4 10
St Patrick’s U19 Football team and panel were outstanding in a never say die performance on Wednesday night the County Final, pushing Mungret to the pin of their collar. The game started with splendid sunshine in Mick Neville Park and ended with the floodlights on and fog descending.
Trailing by 10 points at the third quarter a huge fightback brought it back to a point with time running out,the St Patrick’s crowd were in full voice and getting behind their young team.
A goal opportunity came and went and a couple of near misses to level the game. Mungret lifted the siege and a goal on the break was to clinch the game, with a fourth goal added at the final whistle.
St Patrick’s can be hugely proud of a fantastic team who are a credit to the club. Well done boys, a very bright future lies ahead.

A good battling win in tough conditions on Sunday afternoon in Rathbane. Leading from the first minute, St Patrick’s were full value for this victory. The lead had stretched to seven at the break, but credit to Crecora who never made it easy and battled right until the full time whistle, getting men behind the ball and limiting scoring opportunities.
Sunday was about getting the result in a must win game and credit to the team and management, in a championship where the group games were once again cut short it has seen a much changed team develop over the last year and a half and there are plenty of positives to build on with this young team for the future.

Junior A Football Quarter Final
St Patrick’s 1 10 Camogue Rovers 1 14
A mighty effort from the Junior A team on Sunday morning in the County Quarter Final. A very strong breeze made it a game of two halves. Camogue had the elements in the first half and led 1 13 to no score at the break and looked to be well in a control. St Patrick’s were a much changed team on the restart and dominated the game, narrowing the gap to four points. A late penalty was awarded and the chance to close the gap to one, with the Camogue keeper pulling off a smashing save to deny St Patrick’s a crucial goal.
A fine effort from all involved for the first year at Junior A and alot to build on for 2022.

St Kierans 4 13
The U17 hurling team finished off their campaign when bowing out to St Kierans, in a keenly contested Quarter Final, at Rhebogue on Sunday morning.
It has been a very progressive year for this group, playing five good games in the championship and they have performed very well in each game.
Credit to all involved, well done.
Underage/Bord Na Nog:
Our U9 hurling team had another super night of hurling when travelling to Ballinacurra Gaels for their blitz. The Friday night hurling has helped greatly for these boys who hurled very well. An enjoyable evening for all involved.
The U13 hurling team trained at the Ul Maguires hurling ball wall on Monday night ahead of a tournament in Rhebogue this Saturday with visiting teams from Kerry and West Limerick. A really enjoyable night of hurling for the boys and a fantastic session to enhance their hurling skills.
Our U13 Football team will play Monaleen this Saturday morning in the County Semi Final, throw in is a very early 9.30am in Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale. Best of luck to the boys.
