6 week Walking Initiative with Get Ireland Walking, Sport Ireland, Healthy Ireland and sporting organisation such as GAA has been launched. Killeedy GAA & Camogie Healthy Club Project has signed up. Starting today Wednesday 11th May for 6 weeks from 8-9pm each week.

Community Response to Covid 19 Award:
Killeedy GAA & Camogie Healthy club received a grant in recognition of their role in the GAA’s Community Response to Covid 19. The funding is made available through the GAA’s Healthy Club project in partnership with Irish Life. Details posted in Killeedy GAA & Camogie Healthy Club Project Facebook and Twitter Accounts.
Diversity and inclusion Club Webinar 7- 8.30pm,
Responding to Racism educational Workshop. The agenda will focus on 2 areas:
1. The educational content combines with governance procedures to guide GAA clubs on matters of best practise in preventative, proactive and responding to racism and discrimination.
2. This workshop supports the GAA’s long-standing Give Respect, Get Respect program.
Option for training dates are:
• Tuesday evening 25th of May 7-8.30pm
• Tuesday evening 22nd of June 7-8.30pm
• Tuesday evening 20th July 7-8.30pm

Girls wishing to train & play with Bord na nÓg:
Killeedy GAA would like to welcome girls up to the age of 12 to train and play with Bord na nÓg teams. We would also strongly encourage girls to train and play with Killeedy camogie teams. Any girl interested in training with the Bord na nÓg teams should contact the appropriate team co-ordinator below :

As per health & safety Guidelines all parents of Underage children will have to complete a Health Questionnaire/Declaration online before each training session

Garda Vetting:
With the recent changes to Garda vetting renewal (now every 3 years as a result of changes in the Law )
Our Child Safety officer has flagged that a lot of the GAA vetting is now coming through. Recent applicants are reminded to search your email for “evetting” and complete your final part of application(Step 2 of the application process below). Thanks to all who have sent it on already. Everyone on the field or helping out in any way should also have the Temporary Child Safeguarding 1 complete https://learning.gaa.ie/tempsafeguarding1
E-Vetting application process
Applications are processed as follows:
1. Applicant completes basic information and submits to Limerick Garda Vetting Co Ordinator
2. an email is returned to applicant with a link to complete a full application ( must be completed within 30 days)
3. an email is triggered to adult club Runai informing them that applicant has applied for Garda Vetting
4. once full application is completed its submitted to the Garda vetting Unit
5. Garda vetting unit submits report to the GAA
6. GAA decides on suitability and sends email to applicant and Senior Club Runai
