MUNGRET ST. PAUL’S GAA CLUB NOTES
CLUB DEVELOPMENT PLAN
The recent months have been a busy time for the club off the field while our on-field activity has been curtailed. Our Facilities Development Committee have been working hard, progressing planning and preparing for work to begin this month.
Our finance committee has been established, with a number of meetings already completed, we have had a number of engagements with other clubs who have already completed similar projects and many great idea’s have been shared. Various avenue’s for funding have been identified and initial enquiries have been very positive. A team is already busy preparing our submission for Sports Capital Grant at the end of this month.
We are working with the design team to create images and video’s in 3D of the proposed plans to share with everyone, members, parish residents, local business’s. Our discussions with specialist consultants are ongoing so that we get the very best advice to ensure we deliver a top class facility that will last us years into the future.
The next step is to finalise the final project specifications and work out a phasing plan, pricing and fundraising requirements. We have enlisted the expertise of sports field construction companies, Agronomist, Architect, Engineers, Flood lighting contractors, landscape designer and sports science to mention but a few.
These are exciting times for the club as we strive to match our facilities to our growing community and our sporting goals. Our plans are ambitious, our development team is passionate and we are confident, we as a club and community we all come together to deliver. We will need every member of the club behind the cause.
