Limerick Senior Hurlers bridged a 35 year gap on Sunday in Semple Stadium when they retained the Division 1 Allianz Hurling League title in a very similar path
On Sunday 14th. April 1985, Limerick retained the League title in Semple Stadium Thurles defeating Clare by 3.12 to 1.07, a team Captained by Leonard Enright who also captained the team to League victory in 1984.
It was a case of following same path 35 years later, Semple Stadium was the venue, Clare were the opposition and the Captain was also Captain the previous year (2019) and of course on Sunday 25th. October, Limerick retained the title winning 0.36 to 1.23
