Dromin Athlacca GAA Club would like to thank all our players, parents and mentors along with our Covid 19 Officers for all their hard work and commitment to ensure recent Covid 19regulations are adhered to. It is due to their hard work and commitment that our club can continue to keep our long standing traditions alive and well. It was a busy week again for our
club. Our Under 8s traveled to Hospital Herbertstown for a great days entertainment. On Sunday our Under 14 hurlers participated in the County Sheild Semi Final against Ballybrown in Clarina. After extra time the final score was 3:09 to 1:13. Our hurlers showed greatdetermination and all gave a fantastic performance. Congratulations to all involved.
Club Fixtures: Premier Intermediate Relegation Final with neighbours Bruree is fixed for the Sunday Sept 6th.
Under 16 Hurlers will host Glenroe in Banogie on Monday Sept 31st with throw in @ 7pm. On Thursday Sept 3rd Under 12 Hurlers will travel to Caherline to play them at 6.45pm. Friday Sept 3rd our Under 10’s will play Feohanagh Castlemahon in Feohanagh inCastlemahon with throw in at 6.45pm. Under 8s Boys and Girls will travel to Ballyagran for a football match against Castletown Ballyagran with throw in at 10.30am. The latest COVID 19 regulations issued by the Government state that all matches are to be played behind Closed Doors. This means only essential personnel should be in attendance. No more than 40 personsper team should be allowed access for games. They also state that one parent/guardian per child is permitted to attend a sporting event, including a game or training, should they deem it necessary. Going forward, the Health Questionnaires must now be completed by any parents/guardians along with players in advance of attendance. Strict social distancing and public health guidelines should be adhered to at all times. We will keep updates on our social media and WhatsApp Groups
The 5th Club Limerick Draw will take place on Saturday September 26th 2020. There is e10,000 up for grabs along with many more cash prizes. 50% of all membership goes directly to our own club.This provides our club with the financial support to fund the day to day running costs. The Star Prize for September will be Afternoon Tea for 5 People in Adare Manor PLUS
Evening Meal for 5 people in The Carriage House. Joining this draw can be easily done either online at https://limerickgaa.ie/club-limerick-draw/ @ 10e per draw or 100e per annum or directly through our club by contacting our coordinators Ann Breen of Athlacca, Michael Carmody of Rathcannon, Morgan Walsh of Athlacca and John Murphy of Dromin or by contacting any committee member.
A “ Cash for Clothes” fundraiser has been organised for the club. This will take place on Saturday Sept 13th in our Clubhouse. Clothes that are clean and in good condition, along with
paired shoes and runners, handbags and belts will be greatly appreciated. Donations of clothes will be accepted inAthlacca Clubhouse at any training session. This is a great opportunity to find a good home for all those items rediscovered during Lockdown. Thanks to those who have donated so far.
Club Lotto is back! Jackpot this week was 7,3000e.Numbers drawn were 7, 9, 19, 32.
