DROMIN ATHLACCA GAA CLUB NOTES

Following the recent announcement from An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar last week, we are delighted that we can reopen our pitches for adult training on Wednesday June 24th. Minor
and underage training can commence on June 27th. This is on a non contact basis with the understanding that players and all participants will have completed the eLearning module on GAA.ie and completed a Health Questionnaire before recommencing. Contact training and challenge matches will resume from June 29th and club fixtures will recommence on July 26th or all. Keep an eye on our facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages for updates. Dromin Athlacca GAA Club would like to confirm that no player or mentor will be under pressure to resume activities. The Club will respect anyone who has health concerns or worries about resuming activity following this global pandemic.

Dromin Athlacca Executive committee would like to thank our “ Maintenance Team” for the work they have been doing to ensure our facilities are ready when activities resume. Athlacca pitch is in fantastic condition due to their great work and we are grateful to all involved.

The next Club Limerick Draw will take place on June 27th 2020. There is e10,000 up for grabs along with many more cash prizes. 50% of all membership goes directly to our own club. This provides our club with the financial support to fund the day to day running costs. The Star Prize for June will be an overnight stay in the Luxurious Adare Manor with breakfast and dinner. Club Lotto will recommence on July 11th with 7,000e up for grabs as first prize. Tickets are now on sale through usual promoters and stay tuned for details how to join online.

Dromin Athlacca GAA Club would like to take this opportunity to express our grateful appreciation for all our members who have worked in the Front Line and as part of Essential  Services. We are very grateful for all the work you have done and the sacrifices your have made during this unprecedented time. As we prepare our Roadmap to resume normal services we are reminded that COVID 19 has not gone away. We ask everyone not to be complacent during this time and that you continue to regular hand washing and correct etiquette while coughing and sneezing. It is advised to wear facemasks in areas where social distancing cannot be achieved. We all need to work together to ensure we continue to make progress to combat this virus. We also ask you to consider supporting local business as they make strides to reopen. By supporting local business we are supporting our local economy and hence employment.
