On this date, Saturday 1st June 2019, Limerick Senior Footballers who had shocked Tipperary in the opening round on Saturday 11th May to win a place in the Semi Final of the Munster Senior Football Championship, traveled to Pairc Ui Rinn to play Cork. It was the home side that stared the better in the opening half and scored a facile 3.18 to 0.06 win over a Limerick side that never reached the heights of their display in Thurles three weeks earlier.
