This was a one-sided game with Newcastle West, being the much better and stronger team on the night and two goals of the game came in the second half with the Newcastle West coming from Diarmuid Kelly and Dromcollogher/ Broadford came from a free scored by Derry McCarthy and James Noonan saved three certain goals, two in the first half and the other in the second half, our next game is against Oola, on this coming Friday night, in Kilmallock, at 6.30pm. Before the game started there was a minute Silence for Mary Cregan, Seanie O’Leary and Pasty McLoughlin, may they rest in peace. Derry McCarthy of Dromcollogher/ Broadford and AJ O’Connor of Newcastle West exchanged points early in the game and then Thomas Quilligan of Newcastle West and Kevin Noonan exchanged points to keep the sides on level terms for the second time during the game. Newcastle West scored the next four points and these points came from Séan Murphy, Thomas Quilligan, AJ O’Connor and Lain Corbett to leave four points between the sides and then Derry McCarthy replied with a point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford from a free to leave three points between the sides. Newcastle West scored the next three points and with two of these points coming from Eoin Hurley and the other point coming from Michael Quilligan to leave six points between the sides and then Kevin Noonan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point just before the break to leave five points between the sides at the break. To leave the score at half-time Newcastle West 0-9 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-4.
Newcastle West scored the first two points of the second game and these points came from Michael Quilligan and AJ O’Connor to leave seven points between the sides and then Kevin Noonan scored the next point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave six points between the sides. Newcastle West three points and these points came from Brian Hurley, Thomas Quilligan and Eoin Hurley to leave nine points between the sides and then Cillian Fahy scored the next point of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave eight points between the sides. Newcastle West scored the next 1-4 of the game with the goal coming from Substitute Diarmuid Kelly and the points came from AJ O’Connor, Mike McMahon, Eoin Hurley and Stephen Kelly to leave 15 points between the sides with 52 minutes gone in the game and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored a goal from Derry McCarthy to leave 12 points between the sides with 53 minutes gone in the game. This was a game two halves with Dromcollogher/ Broadford leading at the break by 0-13 to 0-3 and Killeedy outscored by 2-7 to 0-3 to leave a point between the sides at end of the game, Templeglantine have pulled out of this competition, so we have received walkover from Templeglantine and this win puts onto to four points after two rounds, our next game is against Newcastle West, on this coming Sunday April 7th, in Newcastle West, at 7pm. Results of the 332nd draw took place on April 1st, in Begley’s Bar, Broadford and the numbers drawn were: 4, 14, 22, 25 there was no winner of the jackpot at €4,100 and there also was no winner of Match three at €100 and the two lucky dips of €50 each were: Eve Ruddock, Dromcollogher and Sarah Madigan, Dromcollogher and the next draw will take place on this coming Monday April 8th, in the Corner House, Dromcollogher and the Jackpot is going up to €4,200 and the match three staying at €100. Tickets are available from any committee member or any promoter at €2 each or 3 for €5.
