AGM:
Our AGM will take place Sunday the 18th of January 2026 at 7pm in the Community hall.
Table Quiz:
The annual Coiste na nOg table quiz was held at the Con Colbert Hall on Sunday night Dec 29th. It started at 7pm on the dot and was over for 9pm
There was a big crowd as usual with a great atmosphere in the hall. 14 tables took part mainly made up of family groups and relations, table sizes ranged from as little as 4 members up to 12. The age range went from as young as 9yrs up to 90, with questions to suit every age, ability and interest. The winning team was called ”Knock Athea” made up of the Aherns from Garrygloss, The Cummanes from Knockdown and Ger Collins from Knocknagorna.
Thanks to Athea Credit Union who sponsored the cash prize for the winners and thanks to the winning team for donating the prize money to the club. Many thanks to all who supported our annual Coiste quiz. Special mention to all Volunteers who helped out and of course our Quizmaster John Hunt. Also many thanks to all who donated spot prizes on the night. There was a total of €1,774.50 raised on the night.
Split the Bucket:
The last draw took place the 29th of December. The Lucky winner of €214 is Denis Greaney Congratulations. The next draw will take place on Monday the 12th of January
