Blackrock v Ballybricken/Bohermore Wednesday 26/11 in Doon at 7.30pm Please watch out for the fixture details on our Facebook and Social Media pages.
Our U20 Hurlers had a great win over South Liberties/Crecora on Wednesday evening last in bitter conditions in Doon. An early goal for B/B put us on the front foot and the rest of the first half was a tight affair. Well taken points from Jack Barry, Scott Ryan and Rory Hanly kept us ahead before a tidy finish from Niall Martin gave us our second goal of the half.
Halftime score B/B: 2-08 South Liberties/Crecora: 1-04
The second half saw the game a lot more open. B/B really took control of the game, Eoin Clifford, Joe Teefy and Cody O’Brien were very solid at the back while Michael Hanly and Tadgh Browne put in a huge shift in midfield. Scott Ryan was was excellent on the frees while also hitting the net twice from play. Michael Hanly cut through the liberties defence before rattling the top corner for a brilliant goal. Not to be outdone by his brother, Rory shortly followed up with a delicate finish over the keeper for another Bally goal. B/B saw out the game well for a convincing win. Fulltime B/B: 8-17 SL/C: 4-08.
