Rathkeale GAA Club Notes:
Senior Footballers Bow Out of Championship:
As we took a break from the notes during the mid-term break, we would like to acknowledge our Senior Footballers who recently bowed out of the Championship, even though they enjoyed a fantastic win over Oola in Round 5 of the round robin. In what was a must win game at the time, our lads came out on top, winning on a scoreline of 0-16 to 1-15. It is small margins, as at one point we were trying to avoid the bottom two relegation spots, however in the end Rathkeale finished in a respectable 4th spot, ensuring 5 points and just missed out on a knockout place by 1 point. A reasonably good year, as we consolidated our position as Senior Footballers and hopefully, we will have a kinder year injury wise in 2026. As with our hurlers, we would like to acknowledge both teams and management for their commitment throughout the year, it is greatly appreciated.
74th Annual Christmas Draw:
You will most likely receive your allocation of tickets over the next week or so, for the upcoming 74th Annual Christmas Draw. In alignment with our #TeamRathkeale colleagues, all of our fantastic prizes have been sourced locally, and there is no better time to support Rathkeale GAA Club while equally shopping local!
We would like to thank you for your support over the last number of years, and we once again hope that you can help continue to support Rathkeale GAA Club in bringing further enhancements to the facilities of your Club in 2026.
The draw itself will be held on Saturday, December 13th, and we hope to stream the event live on our social media platforms, more detail to follow on that over the coming weeks! If you’re not in, you cannot win one of our 50 fantastic prizes on offer!
