Quid Games Fundraiser:
Pallasgreen GAA Club Development Fundraiser Quid Games on Sunday 26 October is promising to be an unforgettable night of skill based games and challenges. A line up of 6 games that will test contestants’ skills, challenge their wits and leave you on the edge of your seats. As part of the Quid Games fundraiser a number of events has taken place last weekend. Willie Ryan held a Pool Tournament in the Red Deer and was a great success and a most enjoyable night. Roisin McCarthy and Roisin O’Connell held their 12 hour football blitz (Midday to Midnight) last Saturday in the Astro pitch and was a tremendous success. Teams from all ages took part including mothers and fathers, The Limerick Masters football team made an appearance and well known referee Patsy Coffey officiated. It turned out to be a wonderful day and created a wonderful atmosphere within the club. Next up will see Jack Fraher who holds a 2nd hand Gear Sale in the GAA Grounds on Sunday October 5tha starting at 10am. So if you are looking for a bargain in adult and kids jerseys, half zips, helmets, hurls and more, this is the place to be. All donation and support would be appreciated.  A Sports Table Quiz by Aaron Greene and Shane Pearce will take place on Saturday 11th October 9pm in Powers Bar. A great night is anticipated. Do you know your teams, records and legends. Teams of 4 €40 and prizes to be won on the night. Michael Hally is going to Cow Dung Drop on the weekend 11th/12th depends on the Cow and you could be lucky it could be your square. So take your shot at €200 in prize money and wait for the cow to do its thing. €10 per square. Contestant Stephen O’Neill holds a Kwizzbit Quid Games Table Quiz in the Community Centre Oct 4th at 8pm. It’s a fastpacked quiz using your smart device, (Know your club, Know your parish). Entry €10 adult, 5 juvenile. Prizes include 4 x €50 Cobisports vouchers. Conor O’Dwyer will Rev it Up for the Blue and Yellow as his Tractor, Truck, Bike and Car Run will take place this Saturday October 4th at 4pm. Starting at Pallasgreen GAA Pitch. Entry is €20 per vehicle. Promises to be a colourful occasion.
Co Inter Football Championship:
The intermediate footballers boosted their championship aspirations with a narrow one point victory over Newcastle West in St Patrick’s GAA grounds last Sunday afternoon. Played in wonderful autumn sunshine Pallas were behind at the break 0-5 to 0-2. The second half was a tight affair and Pallas came more into the game. A two pointer from a free by Aaron O’Sullivan decided the issue with time almost up. Final scoreline Pallas 0-11 Newcastle West 1-7. U16 Hurlers win County Shield Title:
Congratulations to the U16 Hurlers who won the county division 2 shield title after a fine win over Bruff last Saturday morning in Kilbreedy. After a great tussle Pallas came out top by 1-11 to 1-6. Well done to everyone involved.
