Irish Wire Products Ltd County Senior Football Championship:
It’s back to the big ball this weekend, with all roads leading to Quaid Park, Coolyrue, on Saturday afternoon, with Rathkeale hoping to make it back to back wins, when they take on Fr Casey’s. Having recorded an impressive win over Na Piarsaigh, the lads in blue will be hoping to take the momentum into Round 4 fixture, in their attempts to make the top three and the knockout phase with two group matches remaining. Best of luck to the players and management as they continue with their preparations for Saturday evening, hopefully you can come out and support the lads with a throw in time of 4pm.
Woodlands House Hotel County Junior A Hurling Championship Group 2:
Commiseration to our Junior Hurlers, who finally bowed out of the 2025 campaign unfortunately. After a fantastic start to the Woodlands House Hotel County Junior A Hurling Championship, the lads enjoyed good wins over Ahane and Bruff in the opening two rounds.  However, rounds 3 and 4 proved bumpy, suffering two defeats to Garryspillane and Templeglantine, with a further defeat to the hands of Castletown Ballyagran in Round 5, which ensured that Rathkeale would play no further action in this year’s championship. The Club would like to thank all the players, coaches and management for all their efforts and dedication throughout the year, hopefully we can make a big impact again in 2026.
U16 Football:
Well done to the U16 footballers of Cappagh Rathkeale, who enjoyed an excellent win, with the narrowest of margins, over old rivals Athea in the County Quarter Final. Cappagh Rathkeale won on a scoreline of 1-15 to 2-11, after extra time, ensuring their place in the semi-final, with the opponents and date to be confirmed. Well done to the players and management and best of luck in the semi-final.
