Our U12 Hurlers are away to Newtownshandrum 6:45 on Monday 25th

Wednesday 27th is the last group match for our Minor Hurlers who are at home to Belville Gaels at 7pm

Our U10 Footballers are hosting a blitz Friday evening with opposition of NaPiarsiagh, Granagh Ballingarry & Feenagh Kilmeedy.

All Roads lead to Adare on Friday 29thwhen our Premier Junior Hurlers face Askeaton Ballysteen Kilcornan at 6:15in Round 4.

Crecora/Manister 1-22 Monegea 0-19

Our Premier Junior Hurlers were back at the grounds of Feenagh Kilmeedy GAA last Saturday evening for the 3rd round of the championsip versus Monagea. We were hoping to atone for the narrow defeat 2 weeks prior at the same venue.

The lads were determined from the off and we got off to great start with points from Edwin Wixted, Jack Dalton and Conor Kirby. We added further scores by Thomas Shanahan and another from Conor before Monagea registered their first score. We extended our lead to 7 by the midway point of the half with scores from Niall Conheady and Cathal O’Neill. Monagea added a couple of frees to minimise the gap and from this point to the half time whistle the 2 teams traded scores with Edwin, Cathal and Rian O’Byrne adding to our tally to leave the half time score at 0-15to 0-10 in our favour. We started the second half with a converted free but Monagea kept in touching distance. Niall Conheady made a breakthrough and was bearing down on goal before he was tripped. This resulted in a second yellow for the defender and a penalty which Cathal converted to stretch the lead back out to 6.  Our defence was under pressure as Monagea went in search of a goal to get them back in the game but Ger Kennedy, Colm Parnell, Tim Moloney and Rory Hannan defended resolutely to keep our goal intact. Despite that the lead was back to 3 heading into the closing stages but we stepped up a gear and scores from Rory Hannan, Cathal and Chris Shanahan ensured we streched out our lead to claim victory on a scoreline of 1-22 to 0-19. Next game up is Friday 29th v Askeaton Ballysteen Kilcornan in Adare. The team would welcome your support.

Our U10 hurlers played in a blitz in Effin last Friday evening, 22nd Aug v’s Coashlea Gaels, Blackrock & Garryspillane. We have u10 football blitz next Fri evening, 29th Aug in Crecora v’ Na Piarsiagh, Granagh Ballingarry & Feenagh Kilmeedy. Well done to all coaches and players involved.

Our Club Golf Classic takes place on Friday September 5th in Limerick Golf Club. Teams of 3 are €240. Tee Times are morning 9-12:30 or afternoon 2-4pm.
