Congratulations:
Well done to Shane Wharton and the Limerick U15 Footballers who beat Westmeath on Saturday.
Well done to the Bohermore Handballers who are Inter club team of 4 munster champions, beating Hospital and Dungarvan on the way. They were unlucky to narrowly lose out to Kells of county Meath in the all ireland semi final.
Minor Hurling:
Our minor Hurlers were on the wrong side of the result on both occasions this week.
Despite leading for a long period of time against Glenquin Rovers on Wednesday, a flurry of late scores saw B/B Croom narrowly lose out.
On Saturday evening a strong Hospital/Herbertstown team prevailed in a hard fought match.
Junior B Hurling Tournament:
Well done to all involved in the Junior B Hurling Tournament Finals on Friday evening.
The first final of the night was the Shield Final between Knockainey and Ballybrown. It was a good physical game to whet the appetite for the Cup Final after. Knockainey came out the victors to take home the Shield.
The main event followed between Ballybricken/Bohermore and Camogue Rovers. An exciting game followed with Camogue Rovers heading in at half time 1-12 to 2-5 up. Ballybricken/Bohermore tried hard in the second half but Camogue Rovers proved too strong on the night and ran out 1-25 to 3-08 winners. Captain Nigel Roche was presented with the cup after the game. A great nights entertainment followed and we would like to thank all the teams who participated in a great sporting tournament.
